Gridiron Football Training Program

Football is a game of Speed, Power, Agility & Explosiveness. With these words in mind, our Gridiron program was born - teaching athletes the fundamentals in the weight room so they could attain the goals outside of it! Athletes learn how to apply speed to every part of their game including: lightning take-offs, quick jukes, explosive multi-directional turns and vertical jump training. Unique to Gridiron is Combine Training – acquiring specific techniques and skills to show well at scouting combines.

Hooppower Basketball Training Program

Agility, Explosiveness, Body Control & Quickness allows basketball athletes to succeed in the numerous positions the game requires. From a defensive stance, blocking a shot, rebounding the ball to transitioning down the court, explosiveness is a necessity everywhere on the hardwood. Hoop Power lays the groundwork for foundational strength, preventing those nagging injuries and improving athleticism.
Playmakerz Hockey Training Program

Speed, Balance & Explosiveness are performance prerequisites that, coupled with skill, allow hockey athletes to dominate on the ice. Our Playmakerz program is a complete dry-land series that improves foundational strength, flexibility, explosiveness, rotational core power, balance and speed for every time you lace up the skates.



BaseballMax Training Program

Baseball MAX is the ultimate off-season program for athletes wanting to improve their athleticism on the field. Explosiveness to a ground ball, the burst on a stolen base and turning on the run to cover a fly ball are skills we teach. Improving rotational core strength and force application in the transverse plane translates into bat speed and pitching velocity. Add speed and power behind the plate and in the field!


Our Current Training Programs for Fall 2008:

Junior Excel ages 9 - 14

Junior Excel is for athletes of all sports. The program consists of 2 training sessions per week, with the emphasis on preparing the body's primary movements as well as improving ones core strength, agility, speed explosiveness and overall conditioning without weights. The purpose of Junior Excel is to prepare younger athletes for the demands of weight training in the future. Preparing a solid foundation including core strength, joint stability, balance and proprioception are vital before starting a weight-training program. Junior Excel athletes will then be ready to specialize in their particular sport: Gridiron Football, Hoop Power Basketball, Hockey etc.

Gridiron Senior Excel ages 14 - 17

Pre-season Gridiron Senior Excel is a 3-day-a-week program. This program is for serious football athletes going into their senior year down through high school freshman. This regiment consists of core strength and stability, football-specific lifting at least 2 days/week, as well as speed and agility at least 1 day a week. The athletes will learn how and why flexibility is vital during muscle recruitment. These training techniques are intended to make the athlete standout during play and make scouts take notice. Athletes will learn how to apply speed to every part of their game including: explosive take-offs, quick jukes, explosive multi-directional turns and vertical jump training. Participants will be taught testing techniques and skills necessary to show well at scouting combines.

Hoop Power Senior Excel ages 14 - 17

Pre-season Hoop Power is a 3-day-a-week program. Hoop Power is for serious basketball players wanting that cutting-edge development to improve their athleticism. Hoop Power consists of core strength and stability, basketball-specific lifting at least 2 days/week, as well as court speed, agility and jump training 1 day/week. The athletes will learn how and why flexibility is vital during muscle recruitment. Hoop Power's specialized training techniques are intended to make the athlete standout during season play and make scouts take notice. Athletes will be taught how to apply speed to every facet of their game including: quicker moves, quicker jump shots, lock-down defensive techniques, vertical jump training and more importantly, how to get off the ground quicker!

Gridiron & Hoop Power: Ready 2 Move ages 17 - 21

Ready 2 Move is an aggressive move towards the next level. Whether you're striving to play junior, college or university, the athletes in this program will be involved in a 4-5 week regiment. Optimum performance will be the name of the game here. All participants will be able to make a push for the depth chart while taking a huge step up to the next level. Functional power through Olympic lifts, Core Stability, and Speed & Agility enhancement will help the athlete improve game day performance while improving flexibility. Strict dietary plans are available for athletes looking to gain lean muscle mass or for athletes looking to shed slow-mass.

Playmakerz Dry-Land Training ages 12 - 21

Playmakerz is a 3-day-a-week program for serious hockey athletes wanting the most complete dry-land training program available. Playmakerz consists of 2 days/week of hockey-specific lifts, core strength and stability as well as 1 day/week of speed, multi-directional movement and explosiveness training. Athletes training with Playmakerz will gain flexibility that will ultimately lead to stronger joints, improved strength and lightning-quick moves. If your plan is to be quicker to the puck, quicker in transition and faster at getting your shot off, you came to the right place! Playmakerz, we make hockey players “play-makers”!

Summer Boot Camp all serious athletes!

Boot Camp, Gridiron-style, consists of 2-a-day training from 11:00am-12:30pm and then 2:00pm-4:00pm, 4 days a week for a total of 56 hours of pure hardcore training. This camp will include a variety of different training locations such as The Grouse Grind, Buntzen Lake, Gridiron HQ, Percy Perry Stadium, Kits Beach, etc. Transportation and post workout meals will be included. Diet plans available for all athletes.

In-Season Maintenance (ISM) Programs

With the all the amazing pre-season programs we offer, none is more important than maintaining what you've built! Our In-Season Maintenance Programs are designed like the pros, but built for growing athletes while in-season of their particular sport! A specific program for each sport maintains the explosive power built in the off-season. Our ISM Programs consist of 2 sessions/week: 1 Performance Boost Session and 1 Lactic Acid Removal Session. In-Season Maintenance ensures the athlete's strength DOES NOT diminish as the season goes on and prevents long recovery periods for athletes practicing and playing daily! MAINTAIN YOUR GAIN!
